The reason for having Freddie was as a homage to Freddie Kruegar from the film Friday the 13th. We used Sydney because she was the final girl in scream.
We chose the name Dr Karloff as it was the name of the famous actor Boris Karloff, who played the first Frankenstein monster. Frankenstein was made in 1931 by James Whale.
We chose those names as we feel that the audience can identify with the intertextuality references. we also decided upon these names as they are possibly the most famous name within the horror genre
